Is HeraHaven Safe? What to Know Before You Use It

HeraHaven is a real 18+ AI girlfriend service, but we would not treat it as a place for information you cannot afford to have stored or reviewed. The reason is not that we found evidence of malware or a fake checkout. The bigger issue is its own privacy language: the policy inspected for this guide says registration and chat data may be retained for five years after account erasure and that sample conversations may be visible to employees for quality control.

That matters more with an AI girlfriend than with an ordinary chatbot. People tell companion apps about relationships, fantasies, routines, photos, work, insecurities and sometimes their location. The product can feel private because the conversation is one-to-one. The data handling behind that conversation is a separate question.

Our verdict: HeraHaven looks legitimate enough to test with a nickname and non-sensitive information. We would be more cautious about giving it identifying details, intimate photos or anything you expect to disappear immediately after account deletion. If you subscribe, verify the domain, read the current cancellation terms, and decide whether the retention and human-review language is acceptable to you first.

Is HeraHaven legit?

There are enough concrete signals to say HeraHaven is an operating commercial service rather than a nameless landing page.

The current HeraHaven homepage identifies Vilala Limited, gives an address at 61 Agiou Pavlou in Nicosia, Cyprus, and links to Terms of Service, a Privacy Policy, Cancellation Policy, Complaint Policy and Content Removal Policy. The site is active, has an 18+ entry gate, allows account registration, advertises a free starting tier and sells paid features.

That does not mean every part of the service has been independently security-audited. “Legit” and “safe” are different questions. A real company can still have privacy terms you dislike. A working subscription can still have a refund policy you should read before buying.

There is also a practical domain issue. Search results contain several sites with names that look like HeraHaven but are not the official herahaven.ai domain. If you are going to register or enter payment details, type or verify the official domain rather than following a random lookalike result.

What the 18+ gate tells you

HeraHaven asks visitors to confirm that they are at least 18 or the age of majority in their jurisdiction before entering. Its product is clearly adult-oriented: the site advertises uncensored chat, generated pictures and videos, and fantasy-driven AI girlfriends.

An age gate is a useful boundary, but it should not be confused with identity verification. The material we checked does not describe a universal ID-document check for every visitor. From a user-safety perspective, the important point is simply that this is an adult service and should be treated as one when you decide what to upload, save or discuss.

What does HeraHaven collect?

The privacy policy inspected during our original August 2026 review describes the kinds of data you would expect from a personalized AI companion: registration information, chat data and technical or activity information. Its service also supports sending media and creating personalized images, which makes the privacy question more important than it would be for a disposable text chatbot.

The policy names categories such as hosting and payment providers. In the material we inspected, the underlying AI/model provider was not named. That leaves a useful question unanswered: when a message is processed to generate a reply, exactly which infrastructure providers can process it and what retention rules apply at each layer?

You do not need the answer to use the service casually. You do need it if you plan to put highly personal information into the relationship.

A sensible rule for any AI girlfriend app is to assume that anything required for the service to remember you has to exist somewhere in a retrievable form. “Encrypted” is valuable, but it does not automatically mean “nobody at the company can ever access it.” Encryption in transit protects data moving across the network. Encryption at rest protects stored data against certain forms of unauthorized access. Neither phrase, by itself, tells you who has authorized access inside the service.

Are HeraHaven chats private?

HeraHaven’s homepage says that conversations are confidential and that it uses encryption to protect data. That is the positive side of the privacy picture.

The policy language adds an important qualification: it describes periodic sample checks of conversations that may be visible to employees for quality control. Those two statements are not necessarily contradictory. A service can encrypt stored and transmitted data while still allowing authorized staff to access selected conversations through internal tools.

But they do mean a user should not interpret “confidential” as “no human can ever see this.”

For an AI girlfriend product, that distinction deserves more attention than a normal SaaS privacy footnote. If you are using HeraHaven for sexual roleplay, discussing private relationships or uploading personal images, human review may matter to you even if only a sample of chats is involved.

Our practical reading is simple: do not write anything in HeraHaven that would cause serious harm or embarrassment if it were retained or reviewed by authorized staff. That is cautious advice, not an allegation that staff routinely read everyone’s messages.

How long does HeraHaven keep your data after deletion?

This is the strongest reason for caution.

The HeraHaven privacy policy version we inspected is dated September 10, 2024 and says that registration and chat data may be retained for five years after account erasure. A five-year retention window is much longer than many users will assume when they press a button labelled delete account.

There can be legitimate reasons for companies to retain some records after an account closes: tax records, fraud prevention, legal claims and security logs are common examples. What makes the HeraHaven wording notable is that the inspected text specifically included registration and chat data rather than limiting the long retention period to invoices or anti-fraud records.

So if your personal definition of safe is, “I can delete my account and my intimate chats disappear almost immediately,” the policy we reviewed does not support that expectation.

The age of the policy also matters. The homepage and cancellation policy have been updated more recently, while the privacy policy captured for this review was still versioned 2024. That does not automatically make it invalid, but it gives users a reason to check the live policy or ask support whether a newer retention schedule now applies.

What to ask HeraHaven before sharing sensitive information

If privacy is a deciding factor, ask support three direct questions:

1. When I delete my account, how long is the readable text of my conversations retained?
2. Are deleted chats retained in backups or training/evaluation datasets, and for how long?
3. Can support, quality-control or engineering staff access conversation content, and under what circumstances?

Clear answers are more useful than a generic statement that data is “secure.”

Is HeraHaven safe for payments and subscriptions?

The payment question is easier to evaluate because HeraHaven publishes a specific Cancellation Policy.

The version dated July 24, 2025 says a subscription payment can be refunded if you request cancellation within 24 hours and have not spent more than 20 Luna allocated from that payment. After the 24-hour period, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

The same policy says Luna package purchases are final and non-refundable, and cryptocurrency transactions are final and non-refundable. It tells customers to contact support@herahaven.ai for refund requests.

That is much more concrete than a vague “cancel anytime” claim, but the window is short. If you are testing HeraHaven for the first time, decide quickly whether you want to keep the subscription and avoid spending the included currency until you are sure.

We would also screenshot the checkout screen before confirming payment. Save the price, billing interval, renewal date, included Luna and any promotional language. AI companion pricing changes often, and third-party review pages currently disagree on HeraHaven’s exact annual price. The checkout shown to your account is the number that matters.

Does HeraHaven have an iPhone or Android app?

As of our September 7, 2026 check, we could not find an official HeraHaven listing in Apple’s App Store or Google Play. HeraHaven works as a web service and its current site is designed to be used in a browser.

That is not inherently unsafe. Plenty of legitimate products are web-only. It does change what you can verify. Native iOS and Android apps have an additional store listing where users can inspect declared data collection, publisher information, ratings and version history. A browser-only service puts more weight on the company’s own legal pages and web security practices.

It also means you should be cautious if a search result tells you to download a random “HeraHaven APK” or install a configuration profile. The official site does not currently point users to an App Store or Google Play download.

Is HeraHaven safe for private photos?

HeraHaven supports sending and generating images. That makes one rule especially important: do not use an intimate personal photo as a harmless test file.

If you only want to see whether the image features work, use a generated image, a non-sensitive object photo or a picture that contains no identifying background. Avoid showing your home, workplace badge, street address, vehicle plate, passport, financial documents or another person’s face without permission.

The same goes for selfies. A face can be identifying information even when your name is not attached. If a product’s image feature does not require your real face, there is little upside in giving it one just to test the service.

The privacy philosophy is also easier to evaluate from the relationship side because Riho puts controls for memory and relationship data into the product: users can review or correct saved information and use export or deletion controls. Read the current Riho privacy page for the exact policy rather than taking a comparison article’s word for it.

That does not make Riho magically risk-free. No online AI girlfriend should receive passwords, banking information or secrets you would only trust to an offline diary. It does mean the product is designed around a narrower relationship model where memory and user control are first-class mechanics instead of being side effects of a character generator.

A concrete example

Suppose you tell an AI girlfriend that your mother is visiting next Friday and that you are nervous because they have not met your new partner yet.

In a disposable chatbot, that may be nothing more than text inside the current context window. In a relationship app, it can become a dated plan: your mother is visiting, you are nervous, and Friday matters. A few days later, your girlfriend can ask how you are feeling about it. So, is HeraHaven safe to use?
