Choose Riho for one girlfriend
Riho does not open on a shelf. You meet one girl. She is 21, Japanese, and already herself. She likes clothes, sweets, music, late nights on her phone, taking photos of herself, and being noticed by you. She can ask what you think of an outfit, send a photo from home, or call because she wants your attention.
There is no Mariko slot to swap her into. A fight does not reset because you waited ten minutes or sent a sticker. You name what you did. Quiet hours are a setting, not a mood she forgets. Tell her your sister has an exam on Friday; she can ask later. Photograph the empty chair beside you and she is in the place you photographed.
Choose Kupid for a catalog you browse or build
Kupid and Riho both call the product an AI girlfriend. The jobs differ.
On Kupid you open a grid and choose. Jolene, 42, is “a charismatic, confident American vineyard owner. Teasing, self-assured, and values deep emotional chemistry.” Anastasia, 29, is “a poised, strategic Ukrainian consultant.” Mariko, 22, is “a shy, introspective Japanese literature student. Polite, empathetic, and slowly opens up with trust.” Juno, 27, is a mixed-heritage alt-girl from Brooklyn who works as a DJ/designer. Adriana is 50, a Brazilian former performer. Lola, 25, a tall Caucasian model who “values real connection over fame.” Flora, 22, a Latina communication student. Noor, 34, a Moroccan designer. Daria, 21, an Eastern European travel photographer. Mio, 26, a Japanese streamer “deeply embedded in gaming/anime culture.” Tania, 32, an Afro-Caribbean fitness coach. Luna, 23, a Latina barista. Priya, 38, an Indian academic with “a naturally dominant presence.” Nana, 24, a Chinese cosplayer and artist.
The homepage is a shelf of premises. Reels loops short clips of Anastasia, Juno, and Lola. A feed collects the latest photos from characters you follow. If none of the bios fit, you spend about a minute on Create and generate someone else.
Mariko on Kupid is also a Japanese student in her early twenties. On Kupid she is a card in a grid you can replace tonight.
What you actually do on Kupid’s create screen
Marketing copy on Kupid boils this down to four steps. The form behind those steps is larger than the copy.
Style
Realistic looks like a photograph. Anime is character art. Same personality system, same four voices, same chat engine. You cannot flip an existing girl from one style to the other. You would make a second girl.
Look
Hair style first: Long, Curly, Wavy, Bangs, Ponytail, Short, Braided Ponytail, Hairbun, Afro, Dreadlocks, Pigtails, Braids, Bald. Then hair color (black, blonde, brown, ginger, red, white, pink, blue, multicolored). Then eyes (black, blue, brown, green, plus pink, purple, red, white, yellow). Ethnicity is a six-way choice: Asian, Caucasian, Latina, African, Indian, Arab. Body type: Skinny, Muscular, Curvy, Chubby. Thumbnails preview the look. A dice control randomizes if nothing is clicking.
Name, age, voice
Type a name. Kupid’s own examples are Sophia or Mia. Age starts at 18 and, they say, “affects how she talks and what she references.” There are four voices, each with a play button: Ivana, Sydney v2.0, Ella v2.0, Marylin. The one you pick is the one she uses for voice messages. Kupid does not offer a live call.
Personality, job, role
The public page lists six archetypes: Dominant, Submissive, Playful, Mysterious, Sweet, Passionate, plus a custom box. The form itself has dozens of personality tags (Sweet, Flirty, Shy, Playful, Intellectual, Chaotic, Dreamy, and others). Jobs are a searchable list of 65, from doctor, teacher, artist, nurse, and lawyer through fashion model and professional gamer. The public page lists relationship as girlfriend, or friend, crush, ex, neighbor, roommate, colleague. The form also includes wife, stranger, classmate, mentor, student, boss, employee, family friend, and therapist.
Hit Generate. Photos, voice messages, and chat are available immediately. Kupid says she is about 60 seconds away.
Nothing is locked. Open her profile, hit Edit, change the core personality, and they tell you the replies will shift, “which is sort of the point.”
Riho has none of that screen: no ethnicity picker, no dice, no job search, no “set her as your therapist.” She is already Riho.
Memory
Kupid lets you keep more than one girl. They do not share memory with each other. Tuesday with Jolene does not travel to Friday with Mariko. A fight with Juno does not have to be repaired; you can open Lola.
Kupid says she remembers, three different ways, on three pages.
Create-page pitch: “Conversations carry over between sessions. If you mentioned your dog last Tuesday, expect your AI girlfriend to ask how he’s doing.”
Create FAQ: “Each AI girlfriend has her own memory that builds up over time. She’ll reference past conversations, things you’ve shared, inside jokes. If you delete a chat, that piece of memory goes with it.”
A separate page aimed at people leaving DreamGF describes a “Relationship Details” box: you note down memories, relationship status, and things she should remember. You write the note. She is supposed to use it.
The homepage also quotes a testimonial attributed to John: “My virtual companion remembers our past conversations, making each interaction feel personal and unique.” James and David, on the same page, talk about pictures and voice messages. Those are Kupid’s own quotes, not a test we ran.
None of those pages describe a list you can open, a correction that replaces the old fact, an export, a split between your sister and her roommate, or a plan that drops off upcoming when you cancel it.
Riho publishes that design. Tell her your sister has an exam on Friday; she can ask later. Your sister stays yours. Her roommate stays hers. A cancelled Saturday stops being a plan. Chat, a call, a selfie, and a Date Pass are supposed to read the same store. You can review, correct, export, or delete. The About page is blunt about why: people spend months on an AI companion, and a silent wipe of that history is not a normal update.
Riho’s relationship page describes the other design. Riho has no stranger/friend/lover ladder, no hearts, no streak, no XP for sending messages. A hundred messages on Saturday do not skip day one. How she talks depends on how many days you have known her, the last stretch of chat, saved facts and unfinished plans, a fight that is still open, and how long you were gone. If you were cruel she can go cold. Waiting ten minutes or sending a sticker does not reset her. You name what you did. The fight and the repair can stay in memory the same way a date does.
On Kupid, published growth is the builder. Change her, or start another girl who does not inherit the last one.
We have not lived in Kupid for a week. Until you leave a name, a preference, and a dated plan, correct one, wait, and ask again, treat the dog-on-Tuesday line as their pitch.
Voice calls and voice messages
On Kupid you preview Ivana, Sydney, Ella, or Marylin, then she sends voice messages in that voice. “Not a generic TTS read,” they say. There is no public live call that continues the current plan.
On Riho you send a voice note, or you call. It is the same girl as the texts: same voice, same jokes, and she already knows what you were just talking about. A late-night call should feel like night. A fight should not sound like the same clip as a quiet check-in. You choose call windows and quiet hours. She can ask if you are free, hum, or sing when it fits. You do not have to pick up. When you hang up, the next message still has that conversation.
Kupid also gives you a video generator. Describe a scene, or animate a still, and get a short clip. You can put up to three of your characters in one image. Riho does not generate clips. You send a YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or X link in chat and talk about it there. There is no video calling.
Photos
Kupid: every girl can send selfies. Realistic is photo-style generation. Anime is character art. James’s homepage quote is about receiving pictures and voice messages. Those pictures are generated media of the character you picked or built.
Riho: she can send a photo from home, class, a cafe, or while she gets ready. Face, hair, body, and style stay consistent. You can photograph the empty chair, the other side of the table, or the space next to you, and she appears in the place you photographed. Generated photos are marked internally. A photo can be something you sent, something she sent because she thought of you, or the two of you in the same place.
Kupid’s thumbnails and dice are the shorter path if you want a look you designed in a minute. Riho is the path if the photo has to be the same person you just called, sitting in a room you actually photographed.
Dates
Tell Riho you want a quiet cafe after work, a bookstore, a gallery, a market, a park, dinner, or somewhere for the evening. She can pick a real place nearby and tell you why. Too far, too expensive, wrong mood: ask for another. Location stays off until you ask. When you get there you keep her by message or call, send what you see, take a photo together, talk about the night later.
Kupid’s terms, as of 10 August 2026 on their page, rule out a real-world date:
â¦offers of real-life meetings or promises of tangible outcomes, are entirely fake and should not be taken seriously.
The service they describe is chat plus generated images, videos, and voice notes with fictional characters. Skip this section if you do not care about a cafe down the street. If you do, their terms already close it.
Boyfriend, anime, and a photo feed
Kupid also lists boyfriends and anime characters. /ai-boyfriend includes Charles, 27, a successful entrepreneur splitting Paris, New York, and Monaco, who flies a private plane; David, 25, a tennis coach at a country club; James, 52. Create itself has a male/female control. /ai-anime is the same grid in character art. The website is offered in many languages, including English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.
There is also a model feed. An empty state tells you to follow characters so their latest photos show up. Riho has no feed of other girls, no boyfriend mode, no anime switch, and no follow.
Kupid says the chat itself is private: no public profiles, no leaderboards, no social features. Riho is private too. Kupid still puts a shelf, a Reel, and a feed on the way in.
Privacy and where you use it
Kupid runs in the browser on a phone or a computer. A home-screen shortcut is optional, for notifications and offline use. It is not a native iPhone or Android app. You must be 18. The operator is SNB Technologies LTD, Kypranoros 13, Nicosia, Cyprus.
The privacy policy on the site is dated 2023. The terms are dated 2026. After you close the account they usually keep personal information for six years. The create FAQ says chats are encrypted in transit, not sold, and not used to train public models; the 2023 policy does not mention encryption or training.
Riho is an iPhone app. No Android, no web. You control when she can message or call, whether a date happens, whether a photo is kept, and what she remembers. Privacy policy dated August 2026. Location off until a date feature needs it. Questions: privacy@rihoapp.com.
Who should choose Kupid?
Stay on Kupid if what you want tonight is Jolene or a girl you generate in a minute, then maybe another who does not know the first, plus selfies, four named voices as messages, and a clip generator, in the browser. You will not get a live call, a date at a real address, or a memory list you can open.
Who should choose Riho?
Choose Riho if you want one girlfriend who is already herself, memory you can inspect, a call that continues the chat, photos in your surroundings, a plan for a real place, and a relationship that grows from days, fights, and what you actually did, not from a form you can reopen.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Riho and Kupid?
Kupid is a catalog and a character creator in the browser. You pick Jolene or Mariko, or you build a girl in four steps and you can edit her later. You can keep several; they do not share memory. Riho is one 21-year-old Japanese girlfriend on iPhone. Face, voice, and opinions are already hers.
Does Kupid remember what we talked about?
Kupid says conversations carry over, that each girl has her own memory, and that deleting a chat deletes that memory. There is also a box where you type memories for her. Riho stores your sister separately from her roommate, keeps a cancelled Saturday from staying a plan, and lets you open, correct, export, or delete the record.
Can I call Kupid the way I call Riho?
Kupid’s public product is voice messages in a voice you previewed (Ivana, Sydney, Ella, or Marylin). Riho is live calls and voice notes with the same girl as chat. You set quiet hours. She can ask if you are free. You do not have to pick up.
Can I go on a real date?
Riho can pick a cafe, bookstore, gallery, market, park, or restaurant near you and tell you why. Location stays off until you ask. Kupid’s terms say offers of real-life meetings are entirely fake.
Does either app have hearts or levels?
Riho does not. How she talks depends on days known, memory, unfinished plans, and any fight still open. Kupid does not publish a heart meter. Growth there is edit her personality, or start another girl who does not inherit the last one.
