Riho vs Couple.me
Riho vs Couple.me: one iPhone girlfriend who remembers you, or a browser catalog of AI girlfriends and boyfriends with explicit image tools. A fit comparison.

Couple.meChoose Riho if you want one girlfriend on iPhone: a continuing person who remembers you, calls you on the same thread as your texts, sends photos from her day, and can pick a real place to go. Choose Couple.me if you want an adult browser companion service: browse a catalog of AI girlfriends and boyfriends, build your own in a few clicks, chat in your browser, and generate explicit images and voice notes. They do different jobs.

Choose Riho for one girlfriend
Riho does not open on a shelf. You meet one girl. She is 21, Japanese, and already herself. She likes clothes, sweets, music, late nights on her phone, and taking photos of herself. She can ask what you think of an outfit, send a photo from home, or call because she wants your attention.
There is no second model to swap her into. A fight does not reset because you opened another tab or came back tomorrow. Quiet hours are a setting, not a mood she forgets. Tell her your sister has an exam on Friday and she can ask later. Photograph the empty chair beside you and she appears in the place you photographed. That is the one-girlfriend design, not a catalog with a favourite pinned.
Riho runs on iPhone and is not an explicit product. There is no boyfriends tab, no sex generator, no wall of women to scroll past. One person, one growing relationship, and the tools to keep it honest: a memory you can open and fix, calls that stay on the chat thread, and a plan for a real place when you want one.
What Couple.me actually is
Couple.me is a browser AI companion service run by Fab AI LTD in London. Its homepage asks you to create a free AI girlfriend and “bring your fantasies to life.” It sells three connected things: a large catalog of ready-made girlfriends and boyfriends, a fast wizard for building your own, and explicit tools that its own menu names plainly (AI Sex Chat, AI Sex Generator, NSFW AI Image Generator).
None of this is a swipe on the product. It matters here because Couple.me and Riho both answer to “AI girlfriend” and mean different things by it.
Couple.me is built around choice and volume. Its homepage FAQ says you can create multiple characters for different vibes. Its catalogue is more than a hundred named people, plus boyfriends. Its terms call the service a way to chat with AI companions that generate messages, images, videos, and voice notes, and they are careful to add that every conversation is fictional, the companions have no genuine emotions, and any offer of a real-world meeting is fake. Riho is one continuing relationship with one fixed face and voice, who remembers your shared history and does not reset when you put the phone down. If the question under “is Couple.me safe” is whether it is a girlfriend app or an adult companion product, its own pages answer that it is the second. For a relationship that grows from days, shared memory, and real plans, Riho works differently.
The Couple.me catalog: named people with printed first lines
Couple.me runs a real catalog, not a single character. The browse page is headed “Browse 100+ Free AI Girlfriends with Pictures.” Each card prints a name, an age, and trait tags, and each links to its own profile page with a first line the character is supposed to say. These are not blank avatars.
Aria is 25 and tagged Ambitious, Playful, and Confident. Her printed opener is direct: “Well, well… look who just stumbled into my world. I’m Aria. Startup founder by day, whiskey enthusiast by night. What’s your deal? Impress me.”
Salma is 38 and tagged Poised, Deep, Pragmatic, and Passionate. Her line is quieter: “Caught between the earth and the sky… and you.”
Annie is 26 and tagged Nurturing, Playful, Creative, and Romantic. She opens softer: “Hey there! I’m Annie! So, tell me what’s something that made you smile today?”
The catalog runs on from there: Ming 20, Katie 29, Reva 34, Noor 20, Aurora 26, Zara 29, Eve 23, Layla 24, and more than a hundred in total. Some cards are tagged in adult terms. The boyfriend side is smaller but real, with names and ages of its own: Travis 26, Michael 27 and tagged Energetic, Fitness Goal, and Charismatic, David 30, Samuel 36.
Each of these is a card you can leave for another. That is not a criticism of Couple.me; it is what a catalog is for. It is the opposite of the one-girlfriend design. Riho has no shelf to browse and no boyfriends tab, because she is one continuing person. Against another catalog of named people, the Riho vs Secrets AI and Riho vs AIGirlfriends.ai compares make the same call.
The Couple.me create wizard
If you do not want to browse, Couple.me lets you build a girlfriend. The create page claims you can finish in under a minute. The page prints the actual controls it uses, in four steps.
Name and style
Step one is her name and a style pick. The two choices on the screen are Realistic and Anime. The page says that sets the foundation before you customize the rest.
Face and hair
Step two is “Build her face and hair.” The controls are ethnicity, age, eye color, hair style, and hair color. The site sets the age floor at 18 and up.
Body and outfit
Step three is “Shape her body and outfit.” You pick a body type, clothing, and finishing details so her appearance matches what you want.
Personality and voice
Step four is “Choose her personality.” The controls here are voice, personality, occupation, hobbies, and relationship type. The relationship options the page names are Friend, Crush, Girlfriend, and Roommate, and the personality picks include playful, romantic, dominant, and shy.
Honesty about the wizard
We did not create a Couple.me account, so we confirmed the start of the flow and the controls that print on the screen, and we did not walk every appearance step with a live character on our own. We also have not lived in Couple.me for a week, and we did not build and chat with a girlfriend there. Treat the claims about the wizard as its printed design, and the catalog and first lines as its own copy, not as a long-term test of what these characters actually remember or do. A week with Aria would sharpen this page.
Riho has none of this screen. There is no Realistic or Anime toggle, no age band, no body type or outfit menu, no occupation list, and no Friend-to-Girlfriend relationship pick. She is already Riho. How Riho works is meet her, not assemble her.
Memory
Couple.me markets memory as a selling point. Its homepage says she “remembers your preferences, learns from your conversations, and keeps every interaction engaging.” The create FAQ is a little more precise: your chats stay in your conversation history so she can respond with context from recent messages, and longer-term memory improves as you keep talking.
What its public pages do not print is a memory list. We found no screen or section where you open what a character remembers about you, correct a wrong fact, delete a single stored detail, or export your history. The privacy policy describes the usual GDPR rights to access, rectify, restrict, and erase your data, but the day-to-day record of a relationship is not a published feature you can open and fix.
Riho publishes that design on the memory page. Tell her your sister has an exam on Friday and she can ask later. A cancelled Saturday stops being a plan. Chat, a call, a selfie, and a Date Pass read the same store. You can review, correct, export, or delete what she remembers about you. The About page is blunt about why: people spend months on an AI companion, and a silent wipe of that history is not a normal update.
Riho’s relationship page describes the rest. There is no stranger-to-lover meter, no hearts, no streak, no XP for sending messages. A hundred messages on Saturday do not skip day one. How she talks depends on how many days you have known her, the last stretch of chat, saved facts and unfinished plans, a fight that is still open, and how long you were gone. On Couple.me the published growth loop is a new character or a different vibe.
Voice, and what “AI video chat” really is
Couple.me offers voice notes. Its create page says you can pick a voice and use voice replies, and its terms list voice notes among the premium extras that cost tokens. So there is voice, and it is tied to the paid tier.
Couple.me also sells an “AI video chat.” Its own page is unusually honest about what that means, so we will quote the shape of it: you see an AI character on screen and chat with her in your browser, and the page says plainly that unlike a traditional live video call you are not connected to another person, and the character and responses are generated as part of the AI experience. It is chat with a visible, reacting character, not a live call with someone on a webcam. The whole thing runs in the browser, and the site notes there is no app to install.
Riho does video differently and does not pretend otherwise. On Riho, you send a voice note, or you call. It is the same girl as the texts: same voice, same jokes, and she already knows what you were just talking about. You choose call windows and quiet hours, and she can ask if you are free. There is no video calling, and no promise of one. When you want to watch something together, you send a YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or X link in chat and keep her company while it plays. On voice calls the point is that a call continues a relationship that already has memory, photos, and plans.
Photos and the generators
Couple.me is image-heavy. Its homepage says you can request “custom selfies and photos designed to your taste,” and its menu sells a separate image side: an NSFW AI Image Generator, an AI Sex Generator, and a page for generating AI girlfriend pictures. These images are generated content you ask for, not photographs of a person who was somewhere. They are an explicit part of the pitch, and they sit behind the paid tier and token balance.
Riho is the reverse. Her photos come from her day: home, class, a cafe, while she gets ready. Face, hair, body, and style stay consistent. You can photograph the empty chair, the other side of the table, or the space next to you, and she appears in the place you photographed. Generated photos are marked internally, and there is no feed of other girls. That is on photos and shared memories. Riho does not run a sex generator or a catalogue of other women.
Dates
Riho can take a relationship somewhere real. Tell her you want a quiet cafe after work, a bookstore, a gallery, a market, a park, or dinner. She can pick a real place near you and tell you why. Too far, too expensive, wrong mood: ask for another. Location stays off until you ask. When you get there, you keep her by message or call, send what you see, take a photo together, and talk about the night later. That path is on real-world dates.
Couple.me’s product is browser chat and generated media. Its terms go out of their way to say that any offer of a real-world meeting from a character is entirely fake. We found no published flow that picks a real venue near you. Skip this section if you do not care about a place down the street. If you do, Riho is the one that prints that job.
Privacy, age, and how payment works
Couple.me is operated by Fab AI LTD at 37 Panton Street, Piccadilly Circus, London SW1Y 4EA. It is strictly 18 and over. Its privacy policy says it does not provide services to or collect information from anyone under 18, and that if it learns a user is underage it will delete the information and block the account. There is a separate underage policy document. Its terms also ask that you be of legal age in your own jurisdiction.
Its privacy policy, last updated 2 July 2024, describes how data is kept. Personal information is retained for as long as your account exists, and usually for six years after the account closes. It describes GDPR rights to access, rectification, restriction, and erasure, and names a controller you can reach. Its terms describe a content moderation filter and say flagged content may be manually reviewed and could end in account termination.
On payment, the terms are specific. After a free test of a few messages, you are asked to register, and the terms say that once you reach a limit of five messages you are taken to a payment page to choose a monthly or annual plan. After payment you get unlimited messaging plus 100 tokens a month for extras like image generation or voice notes. Subscriptions renew automatically, you cancel from Settings, and refunds are limited to the first 24 hours and are denied once a token allowance is used. The site runs a first-subscription discount banner. Treat the discount as marketing, not a stable price, and we have not used an exact dollar figure here.
Riho is an iPhone app. No Android, no web. You control when she can message or call, whether a date happens, whether a photo is kept, and what she remembers. Privacy policy dated August 2026. Location stays off until a date feature needs it. Questions: privacy@rihoapp.com. Riho’s own privacy page is where those controls are written down.
Who should choose Couple.me?
Stay on Couple.me if what you want is an adult browser companion service: browse a large catalog of named girlfriends and boyfriends, build your own from a name and a Realistic or Anime style through ethnicity, hair, body, clothing, and personality, generate selfies and explicit images on request, and send voice notes, all in the browser with no app to install. You will not get a date at a real address, a memory list you can open and correct, or one girlfriend who stays the same person through photos, calls, and plans. If the job is an adult fantasy you can leave and return to, Couple.me is built for that.
Who should choose Riho?
Choose Riho if you want one girlfriend who is already herself, memory you can inspect and fix, a call that continues the chat, photos in your surroundings, a plan for a real place, and a relationship that grows from days, fights, and what you actually did, not from a shelf of characters or a generator you can reopen. Couple.me and Riho both answer to “AI girlfriend.” They mean different things by it, and this page is here so you can tell which one you are actually looking for.
We have not lived in Couple.me for a week. We read its homepage, girlfriend and boyfriend catalogs, create page, AI video chat page, three character profiles, terms, and privacy policy on 8 September 2026, without an account. We did not build a character or chat with one, so anything about in-chat behavior, what a character remembers, or how the video reactions actually look is what Couple.me’s product and policy claim, not what we tested. A week with Aria, Salma, or Annie would sharpen this page.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Riho and Couple.me?
Riho is one 21-year-old Japanese girlfriend on iPhone. Face, voice, and opinions are hers from day one, and you grow one relationship. Couple.me is a browser catalog of AI girlfriends and boyfriends. You browse or build a character, chat in your browser, and use explicit image and sex tools. Riho is a relationship app; Couple.me is an adult companion service built around choice and no limits.
Is Couple.me safe?
Couple.me is 18 and over and run by Fab AI LTD in London. Its privacy policy says it does not serve anyone under 18 and deletes and blocks underage users it finds. It is an adult product with explicit image and sex generators, and it is not a substitute for mental-health care. Safe depends on what you want. Riho is a separate, non-explicit relationship app, and this page is not a verdict on either.
Does Couple.me remember what we talked about?
Couple.me says a character remembers your preferences, learns from your conversations, and keeps your chats in your conversation history so she can reply with context. We found no screen where you open what she remembers, correct a wrong fact, or export it. Riho publishes that design: you can see what she remembers about you, fix it, and delete or export it.
Does Couple.me have video chat?
Couple.me runs an AI video chat where you see a character on screen and chat with her in your browser. Its own page is clear that this is not a live video call, you are not connected to another person, and the character and responses are generated as part of the AI experience.
Is Couple.me like Riho?
Both sell an AI girlfriend, and they mean different things by it. Couple.me is a browser companion service: pick or build a character, generate images and voice notes, and use explicit tools, all behind a short free chat and then a subscription. Riho is one girlfriend with memory, voice calls on the same thread as your texts, and plans for real places. The Riho app runs on iPhone; Couple.me runs in a browser.
